The Benefits Of Strength Training For Hormone Health With Kitty BlomfieldMar 04, 2023
What if I told you I had your solution to losing weight sustainably and balancing your hormones? Well that’s exactly what I’ll be sharing today. In this episode, I interview Kitty Blomfield, the cofounder of Nustrength and Saturee talking all about strength training and how it can help you optimize your health in your perimenopausal years. We’re going to get into one of my personal favorite topics on physical activity, strength training, and why it's so important when it comes to women’s overall health and fertility.
- Kitty’s personal struggle with managing her weight and binge eating
- Why restrictive diets can only lead to more problems for your hormones and overall health
- The dangers of diet trends and how to avoid them
- How to still eat carbs and achieve your dream body
- Signs to look out for when your current diet isn’t working for you
- How strength training helps perimenopausal women prepare for pregnancy
Kitty Blomfield is the co-founder of Nustrength and Saturee. She spent 17 years of her life jumping from diet to diet, obsessing about my weight and suffering from shitty periods, poor sleep, digestive issues and binge eating. In 2015 she found the work of Emma Sgourakis - The Nutrition Coach and met Craig. What she learnt about nutrition and strength training transformed her body and health and repaired her relationship with food. She went on to develop a program to help other women like herself and partnered with Emma to form Saturée because she just couldn't find skincare to recommend to our clients.
